..’twas a bit dark so i just dragged the shutter for this one..
Bryce Canyon National Park is a national park located in southwestern Utah in the United States. The major feature of the park is Bryce Canyon which, despite its name, is not actually a canyon but a giant natural amphitheater created by erosion along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Bryce is distinctive due to geological structures called hoodoos, formed by wind, water and ice erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rocks. The red, orange and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular vistas for park visitors. Bryce is at a much higher elevation than nearby Zion National Park. The rim at Bryce varies from 8,000 to 9,000 feet (2,400 to 2,700 m).

what a fantastic vision, great depth and awesome colors of rock, great!!!
Dragging your shutter clearly did the trick, Rian, because this is gorgeous. I remember seeing Bryce Canyon over 38 years ago when I was pregnant with my firstborn. I remember being nauseated the entire time and so missed most of the beauty of this place. I’m remembering it through your eyes, so thank you.
wow that is spectacular, Rian!!!! i have never seen rock that red!!!
Single…Tree. Many…congrats on this wonderful photo!
Also a place of my wishlist …. amazing view!

The tree is a strong and useful foreground object with which to show the colors and details of these canyon walls. Fine shot.

beautiful area. I like having the tree in the foreground.
I visited this place at the age of 10 and still remember it. Chipmunks were crawling all over it like ants. Beautiful image.
What a beautiful shot there Rian, any chance you used a CPL for this shot?

Wonderful image of Bryce. I like the silhouetted tree. Can’t wait to go there myself one of these days. Nice work Rian.
